Computer Aided Web Interviews (CAWI)

Web interviewing is a Internet based survey technique in which the interviewer follows a script provided in a website using a link.

The questionnaire is made in a program for creating web interviews. The program allows the questionnaire to contain pictures, audio and video clips, links to different web pages, etc.

With the increasing use of the Internet, online questionnaires are gradually becoming a popular way of collecting information.

The design of an online questionnaire often has an effect on the quality of data gathered. However its use is limited to those who have access to the internet, and framing the questionnaire needs to be carefully done.

Though popular in the west, its popularity in the Middle East is yet to catch up
